They became martyrs because of His birth, and in these modern days it is still appropriate because the anniversary of legalization of abortion by the United States of America occurred on January twenty-second, immediately following the Christmas and Epiphany seasons. When the United States of America made it legal to kill babies, the doors to this form of legalized murder were opened throughout the world. It is as though Adolph Hitler and the Nazis and the Fascists had won World War II and were continuing their reign of terror. But it is very important to realize that legalization of abortion did not begin with the United States Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade. It began with the legalization of the birth control pill, for the birth control pill works by causing an abortion - it works by not allowing the newly created baby to nestle in its mother’s womb, forcing it to be expelled from its mother’s body and die of starvation and exposure. The morning after pill makes no pretense of doing anything other than killing a baby. With all this legalized, bloody, horrible, and torturous killing happening every day, is it difficult to understand why so many people have no respect for life? Most of the children of today are taught there is no need to respect the lives of babies, and that babies can be killed through abortion just because the mother wants to do it. With more than seven babies being killed every minute in the United States of America, the number of people killed in drive-by shootings, robberies, and other crimes, is small in comparison. Until abortions are outlawed, with no exceptions, there will be no peace in this country. Nor will there be peace in any country which allows abortions, no matter what the reason for the abortion. Those who kill unborn babies, and who allow unborn babies to be killed, and those who do nothing to stop the killing of unborn babies, are not people of good will, and they will not receive the blessing of Divine Peace. But also remember that those who kill abortionists, are just as evil as the abortionist. Let us always remember and honor The Holy Innocents of Our Lord’s time, and the innocent victims of abortion which continues to our time. It was only fear of terrible retribution by non-Moslems that brought the Moslem population of the New Orleans area to its senses. New Orleans was not the only place where this occurred, but in countries outside of the USA, the joyful celebrations by Moslems lasted hours, and even days. Christian USA is still waiting for Islamic religious leaders to condemn the September 11th terrorist acts. If Moslems expect respect and acceptance from Christians, considering the world wide Islamic joy over the September 11th attacks, Islamic expectations are not reasonable. Moslems (including those who are American citizens) often depict Americans (Christians) as being arrogant, rich, having stolen Moslem oil, being decadent, insulting, and deserving of every evil which has been or can be inflicted upon them. Arrogance should not be confused with confidence. Rich? Most Americans are not rich. But even the American poor often have a higher standard of living than the average Moslem in many parts of the world - but Americans also often have a higher standard of living than non-Moslems in those parts of the world. Non-Moslems are not trying to kill and enslave Americans. Non-Moslems generally would appreciate the opportunity to move to America and attempt to attain the “American dream”. What is being expressed is envy. If those who do not have decent standard of living desire to live like Americans, then they should engage in governmental, societal, and personal endeavors which allowed America to provide the opportunities which it provides. Steal Moslem oil? Payment is made for every barrel, every drop. And most of the oil fields were developed by Christians - mainly British, Dutch, and French, not American. The amount paid
