LEGISLATION AND PROPOSED LEGISLATION
WHICH MAY BE GOOD

  • The `Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2000", H.R. 4292. If you want a real horror story, link to the committee reports at the top of the page the bill is on, and read how the courts hold a child, weather or not born, can be killed by its "mother".
  • Congressman David Vitter's Proposal regarding warnings and cautions for RU-486, in correspondence dated February 16, 2001. You might wish to check with him to see how he is progressing - that may spur him to attempt to accomplish something. The bill is reproduded here. It is weak, but weak is better than nothing.
    H. R. 123, is a somewhat in-artfully designed bill intended to void current and prevent future litigation instituted for the purpose of extorting firearms and ammunition manufacturers, distributors and sellers while operating in a legal manner. It is supposed to kill litigation where gun and ammunition makers and sellers are being sued because someone harmed someone else with a gun but the manufacturer and seller had no control over the situation.
S.630 - Proposed law - To prohibit senders of unsolicited commercial electronic mail from disguising the source of their messages, to give consumers the choice to cease receiving a sender's unsolicited commercial electronic mail messages, and for other purposes.
