The Bird Sanctuary at Copan

The bird sanctuary is supported by donations, a gift shop, and a restaurant which serves very good food. It also grows and sells coffee.

It is a beautiful place with streams running throughout.

In the tenth and eleventh pictures you can see the parrots climbing on Archbishop Andres' head (red cap) to play "King of the Mountain"

The last two pictures are of luminous butterflies which flittered through the upper hills of the sanctuary.
