COMMON TYPES OF HOUSES

COMMON TYPES OF HOUSES

The housing is varied, side by side on the highways and in villages there being some of adobe, others of cinder block, some of concrete, some plastered over and some not, but very few made of wood.
* In the first picture, the reddish house on the right is of adobe brick while the one on the left appears to be of plastered cinder block or concrete.
* The second picture is of a new house under construction. The rods sticking up over the roof are for the addition of a second story in the future, and for attachment of various things such as a new water tank. Water tanks are very common - formerly made of brick or concrete, now of black plastic holding many gallons of water.
* The third picture is of an adobe plastered house.
* The fourth picture is of a very rare type of house - one made of wood.
* The fifth is of an adobe brick house under construction.
